NO IMAGINATION, NO CREATIVITY
Dear teachers and students:
Good morning / afternoon / evening! My name is Liu zi yuan. The title of my speech is the relationship between creativity and imagination.
There is no creativity without imagination. With the development of the society, creativity becomes more and more important. People could not satisfy with ordinary life. So we need creativity to meet their requirements. We can see significance of the creativity from an example. The smart phone—iphone spread all over the world. That was the creativity of The Apple Inc. It is obvious that it will produce a bigger profit than common manufacturing. But, hao can we acquire creativity?
I think the creativity roots in imagination. Albert Einstein said that imagination is important than knowledge. Because we should creative a thing that is never appeared, we need to image. Use all the things and information around us to think and then go to achieve it. Without the imagination of the Wright brothers , human could not complete the flying dreams. Without the imagination of the Alexander Graham Bell, we could not hear the voice from a distance. If the creativity can make the human progress, imagination will be the road to success. Where the imagination come from? Knowledge ? Experience ? practice? I consider that all of them are indispensable. It is often said that knowledge is power. So we should empower ourselves with knowledge. After that we need to obtain experience form. practice. These are the basis, and we must strengthen them to extend our imagination.
As contemporary college students, we must shoulder the responsibility of the future of our motherland. What we need is not only the knowledge of the past, but also is the innovation of a new field. Our thought can not be bound by the old things. We should understand that an excellent nation is always full of creativity. So we must promote our imagination. There is no creativity without imagination. That’s all, thank you!
Thrift is the traditional virtue of our China, so my father and mother have taught me not to waste, and I am particularly obedient. In peacetime, my father and mother give me the pocket money in the "piggy and pig" storage tank. I never spend much time and save much, I will buy learning supplies.
On Sunday, there were some guests at home. Dad bought several bottles of beer to entertain guests. After the meal, I quickly put the empty wine bottle in a corner, plus the usual milk cartons, drink bottles, and some of the old newspapers and cartons in my home, and there was a lot of it! After finishing, I asked grandpa to help me and sell these waste products to the waste purchase station. The aunt of the purchasing station is straight, I am a sensible and economical child. I counted the money in my hand, which was 3 yuan and 8 cents. I can be happy and flattered to put money into the "little pig" jar.
I have to save more time this time, because I am going to buy a gift for grandpa who has been bringing me and caring for me, thanks for Grandpas affection for me. I will always be ready to donate this money to those who need help.
It is very good that the waste goods are sold, that is, to get money, and help the mother to clean up the home, and more important is that it will not cause pollution to the outside environment, is it not a stone? So I will always stick to my thrift and thrift.
From this, you should have known the benefits of thrift, too. Join me in action quickly, and you can also get unexpected results from it.
life is not perfect, so be optimistic, face setbacks. optimism is a beaconin the night, to bring you confidence; optimism is an oasis in the vast desert, give you hope; optimism is a warm winter charcoal, make you out of trouble, brave to face setbacks.
optimistic in the face of setbacks will be successful, life is like theocean, sometimes in smooth water, sometimes billowing, life is like a boatfloating in the sea, but also often a totally wrecked boat. however, despitethese unsatisfactory life, also have to discard the optimism of sailing, you canride the wind and waves, see the beautiful rainbow. when the moving light, likea beautiful singing fish late. you will see that the harbor has been waiting foryou, as the continued life of the song, sometimes low melodious, sometimes hairhakata, you are a musician, with optimistic notes compose melodies of life.
lincoln, the famous president of the united states, made greatcontributions to the american civil war. who knows his struggle is so hard? heran for the eight time and lost eight times. the two election, the twobankruptcy. he was in a trance. but he never gave up, optimistic facefrustration, setbacks, hard work pays off, he eventually succeeded.
the eight election, the eight defeat. two times in business, two failures.through several decades, by virtue of their optimistic attitude, standingproudly on the president of the united states forest impressively. be optimisticabout setbacks, and you can get rid of setbacks. if lincoln after setbacks andhow to be unable to get up after a fall, today's brilliant achievements? lifeended up with too much imperfection, too many setbacks. if you sink intofrustration, it will only make you more difficult and unable to extricateyourself. because of optimism, you can go farther from your dreams. optimism isa star shining in the universe, it will lead you out of the dark, towards thedawn; optimism is shining on the sea of beacon lights, it will guide the lostship, to the harbor. as the saying goes, every bean has its black. life is notperfect and beautiful, if you face it, do not be discouraged, you will see adifferent way of harvest experience, gorgeous scenery, make you success by theweak to strong, from failure, riding the train of life to the dreamdestination.
in ancient times and at home and abroad, such examples abound.
sima qian suffered after castration, not discouraged, by virtue of theirpositive attitude, write the first history of the historical records; hongzhanhui, a poor, was lost parents, but also with a four year old sister, but heis still optimistic, finally admitted to the ideal university. jobs, apple corpceo, who once was fired by his company, but he still actively face setbacks, once again become a member of the apple corp.
thus, an optimistic person, will get rid of the plight of success, withlife in the face of setbacks, disappointments in life actively. we as studentsshould be more positive, optimistic in the face of the exam, make efforts tostruggle, let the brilliant smile on the face, to win better grades in seniorhigh school entrance examination time.
if winter comes, can spring be far behind? yes, optimistic face setbacks, you will enter the success of the palace, for youth painting a completestop.

What College Education Means to Me
The title of my speech is "What college education means to me".Nowreflecting on the past two and half years of my college experience, I come torealize how much it has shaped me.
For me, college education is a marvelous ship-builder who designed me fromkneel plates up.
With great vision, college education has equipped me, first with a powerfulpropeller----the sophisticated knowledge in certain field and wide exposure toother disciplines. By dedicating myself to the engineering courses in the dayand immersing myself in the rich banquet of the world literature at night, I'veamassed the driving force for the future and enriched my soul.
Besides, college education has also provided me with a precisecompass----the sense of social responsibility. How can I best serve the interestof the public while achieving my self-fulfillment? My one year's experience as apart-time English teacher has testified: to be valuable to society as well as tofind my place, I have to possess some actual strength and the ability tofunction well in the most challenging situation. Amid the hectic schedule thatbalances club activities, sports, and academic courses, I feel the rhythm andbeauty in the intensity of my high-pitched life, knowing that I 'm on the rightway.
And more importantly, college education has set up not only single ships, but also fleets with common destinations. By interacting with friends of commonbeliefs, I've acquired skills of relating to other people.
Now ,as a ship about to make my maiden voyage, I'm still not in theposition to tell what's waiting ahead of me ,but with a powerful propeller, aprecise compass and ardent companions of sailing in the sea of society, I'mready to be a great sea-explorer.
Thank you.
Welcome to t, let me show a short video to you.
The First team I will talk about is Houston this team, there are two MAP is T-Mac,the other one is Yao e are Bonzi Wells,Steve Francis,Mike James,Shane Battier and Rafer Alston also.I think it’s powerful enough.
Some experts even claim that they could win 60 in fact, they have lost 7 games.I think maybe they can’t win the games as many as the experts said, but they must be a strong power in the western this season if the stars specially Tracy and Yao could keep health.
The second team is Dallas season, they won more than 60 games, but they were washed out in the this team became the second team which won 60 or more games but lost the champion.
This season, most of the players there are in their golden age and I think they own the ability to create everything what even out of everyone’s expectation.

Ladies and Gentlemen , Good afternoon! I?m very glad to stand here and giveyou a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , andfound the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.
First I want to ask you some questions: 1、 Do you know what is youth? 2、How do you master your youth?
Youth
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind it is not rosy cheeks ,red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshnessit is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of theappetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We growold by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul .Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ?s heart the lure ofwonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the gameof living . In the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and powerfrom men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows ofcynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but aslong as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you maydie young at 80. That?s all ! Thank you!
Good morning everyone!
let me begin my speech with a replay of scenes familiar to most, if not all, of those present here today.
"mum, i'm sorry, but i need 3,000 yuan for my tuition this year."
"mum, it is my friend's birthday tomorrow, i must buy her a present."
"mum, this jacket was out of fashion long ago, would you do me a favor? "
take. take. take. the relationship between a mother and a child always seems to follow such a pattern. i know my mother is always there for me, providing me with everything i need; from food to clothing, from tuition to pocket money. i never thought twice about all she did until one day she said, "will there be a time that you'll say you have taken enough from me? "
like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. we enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. we take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. we appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. as we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
finally, standing here at the threshold of the 21st century, we cannot help thinking of our posterity. nature is not only the mother of the present generation, but also the mother of the generations to come. how severely our descendents will criticize us if we leave them a barren and lifeless mother? how much more they will appreciate us if we give them a world of harmony to inherit? let us start respecting and caring for nature from now on. let us start the campaign of creating a mutually beneficial relationship between people and nature right from this moment. with this new start, i firmly believe, that our children, and our children's children will live in a brand new age of green trees, clean air, crystal water, blue sky and an even more promising world!
Good afternoon, everybody. I just want to say a few words about the landmark vote that the House of Representatives is poised to(随时准备着) take today -- a vote that can bring us one step closer to making real the promise of quality, affordable(支付得起) health care for the American people.
For the better part of a year now, members of the House and the Senate have been working diligently(勤奋地) and constructively to craft legislation that will benefit millions of American families and millions of American businesses who urgently need it. For the first time ever, they've passed bills through every single committee responsible for reform. They've brought us closer than we have ever been to passing health insurance reform on behalf of the American people.
Now is the time to finish the job. The bill that the House has produced will provide stability and security for Americans who have insurance; quality, affordable options for those who don't; and lower costs for American families and American businesses. And as I've insisted from the beginning, it is a bill that is fully paid for and will actually reduce our long-term federal deficit(赤字,不足).
This bill is change that the American people urgently need. Don't just take my word for it. Consider the national groups who've come out in support of this bill on behalf of their members: The Consumers Union supports it because it will create -- and I quote -- "a more secure, affordable health care system for the American people."
The American Medical Association and the American Nurses Association support it on behalf of doctors and nurses and medical professionals who know firsthand what's broken in our current system, and who see what happens when their patients can't get the care they need because of insurance industry bureaucracies(官僚政治).
The National Farmers Union supports this bill because it will control costs for farmers and ranchers(牧场主), and address the unique challenges rural Americans face when it comes to receiving quality care.
And the AARP supports it because it will achieve the goal for which the AARP has been fighting for decades -- reducing the cost of health care, expanding coverage for America's seniors, and strengthening Medicare for the long haul.
Now, no bill can ever contain everything that everybody wants, or please every constituency(选区) and every district. That's an impossible task. But what is possible, what's in our grasp right now is the chance to prevent a future where every day 14,000 Americans continue to lose their health insurance, and every year 18,000 Americans die because they don't have it; a future where crushing costs keep small businesses from succeeding and big businesses from competing in the global economy; a future where countless dreams are deferred or scaled back because of a broken system we could have fixed when we had the chance.
What we can do right now is choose a better future and pass a bill that brings us to the very cusp(尖头,尖端) of building what so many generations of Americans have sought to build -- a better health care system for this country.
Millions of Americans are watching right now. Their families and their businesses are counting on us. After all, this is why they sent us here, to finally confront the challenges that Washington had been putting off for decades -- to make their lives better, to leave this country stronger than we found it.
I just came from the Hill where I talked to the members of Congress there, and I reminded them that opportunities like this come around maybe once in a generation. Most public servants pass through their entire careers without a chance to make as important a difference in the lives of their constituents and the life of this country. This is their moment, this is our moment, to live up to the trust that the American people have placed in us -- even when it's hard; especially when it's hard. This is our moment to deliver.
I urge members of Congress to rise to this moment. Answer the call of history, and vote yes for health insurance reform for America.
ladies and gentlemen,Good morning!
I am very glad to be here to give you a short speech.
A person's life is a process of growing up, in fact, I am standing here is also a growth. If a person's life has to face different choices, then I grow up with these choices. I had hoped to go to college in the future, but that was over, and now I am here to know what my future will be like.
When I came to this school, I told myself that I was going to start from here in the near future. Then I want to learn how to behave, how to be a honest man, and have a healthy body, can take on important task, can the independent thinking, open-minded, sophisticated, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a good job.
My teacher once told me, "you are not repairing but creating; Never forget that what you show to people is your thought, not your craft. I will integrate my personality, hobbies and abilities into my study. In the process, I learned and practiced. If I can achieve this "future", I think I really grow up. And I am convinced that my family, good friends and love will make my future perfect and happy.
How to explain the future? Maybe it's just a good wish. Let's make up our minds and stick to it, and we'll have a wonderful life.
ung, facing new situations, dealing with different problems.....
everyone has his ownunderstanding of young,it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, only after you have
experienced the sour ,sweet ,bitter and salty can you really become a person of significance.thre time of young is limitted,it may pass by without your attention, and when you discover what has happened ,it is always too late.grasping the young well means a better time is waiting for you in the near future,or the situation may be opposite .
having a view on these great men in the history of hunmanbeing, they all made full use of their youth time ,to do things that are useful to society,to the whole mankind, and as a cosquence ,they are remembered by later
generations, admired by everyone.so do something in the time of young, although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole word, just for youeself, for those around!
the young is just like blooming flowers, they are so beautiful when blooming, they make people feel happy, but with time passing by,after they withers ,moet people think they are ugly.and so it is the same with young,we are enthusiastic when we are young, then we may lose our passion when getting older and older.so we must treasure it ,don't let the limitted time pass by ,leaving nothing of significance.
The slogans are shouting over and over again, the life is still continuing, the extravagant story is still spreading, what is the root of the evil, what we should do in the end, and we continue to discuss, and I have some of my own views and cognition.
The slogan is shouting, but it is not loud enough and the slogan is profound, but it is not enough to be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The slogan is hardly seen in the corner of the people. The story of saving is seldom happening. It is inevitable and can be imagined. It is not enough to move the heart of the people, and it is not easy to be seen by people. Here, this is the sadness of our propaganda work!
The big word banner is not noticed. It is not frugal to publicize slogans like the tortoise just born. Do you need to be thrifty in this area? This is frugal. Will other extravagance and waste attract others attention? Will there be a thrifty story? Our leaders have already dared to drink more than 10000 yuan of Moutai to hide in the corner to sing the national anthem. Do our ordinary people still not know thrift? Its nothing for a person to be thrifty, but we have hundreds of millions of people going together, who can stop it, we can enjoy this kind of life really happy, some places can not even afford to eat. Compared with them, we have no doubt that we are happy, but how many people are sighing under happiness? Do we care about that food or something? Thats the harvest of autumn, the result of the starvation of the farmer.
Hope to arouse the attention of the society! Thrift and frugality come along the virtue of our Chinese nation!
How to Reduce Stress
As the pace of modern life continues to quicken, many people are in the habit of rushing through life. Some admit that stress seems to be on the increase all the time.A certain degree of stress is beneficial to us,but too much stress is certainly harmful, and sometimes may even harmful to our health and physique. So it is necessary to know how to reduce stress.
There are many ways that can help us solve this problem, but the following may be the most effective.First, learn to come to terms with yourselves.Don't set a goal that is too high because there are many things in this world that are beyond your reach.Learn to be content to go as far as you can.Second, learn to come to terms with the world around you.Don't try to change other people or other things. There are people and things in this world that you can do nothing about. So learn to accept them.Third, don't be too interested in material things and don't try to "keep up with the Joneses."Don't harbor any jealousy, vanity or resentment to others.Be satisfied with what you have. Finally, keep in touch with your friends.Talk with them, share with them your happiness and misery. This will help to make you feel better.
These are not necessarily the only ways to solve the problem, and it is my hope that everyone can reduce the too much stress in his work and study and live a relaxed happy life.
One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,"you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more."
It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.
The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,"I did not have enough time."The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no complaint! It is during my moments of complaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.
Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."
Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself "Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count."
Hold Fast To Your Dreams
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.
My mother is really a good mother, and I love her so much.My mother is ateacher and she taughtme from my Grade 1 to Grade 3 in primary school. She is agood teacher with great patience. She is so kind to all students in her classthat she is badly popular among her students. Except for knowledge, my motherteaches me how to be a good person and she regards it as the most importantlesson to a person. In my opinion, she gets 100 points as a teacher as well as amother.
Hello everyone,I'm topic is "we should protect earth". As we all notice, the weather becomes very odd a month like now,it should be quite warm, but I'm still wearing my winter 's still rather cold, which shouldn't happen at this summer it's extremely cold while terribly hot in these factors make earth a unfavourible place to live in.
here you can show some pictures or other materials you have collected. We all know that earth is our common all live in provides us everyting we has been enormously generous to should do our best to care for her. Now before it's too late,I think we should start to take ect the earth starting from you and me,from what we can do instance,ALWAYS throw rubbish in the bin and etc.
Besides,we should try our best to know more about environment protection bad weather has made us suffer a lot.I believe everyone here has the same feeling as mine.I guess that's the price we paid for doing harm to the have nobody but ourselves to blame for that. At last, have you seen the movie"the day after tommorrow"'s a movie about 's a good one and worth to have a look. THANK YOU!
Good morning, honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:
Its a great honor to stand here. my topic is: the color of where we live.
I once read a poem, which greatly shocked me. let me share it with you: “chimneys have grown into forests; armored concrete blocks our view; there is no longer green within sight. where is the clear sky? where is the blue sea? where is the fresh air?”
I remember, when i was a child, there was a yard behind my house. i used to sit with my grandma under a big tree. in the tree, birds were chirping and dancing happily and freely. with grandma’s soft cradlesongs and birds’ singing, i would quickly fall into a sleep of sweet dreams. at that time the sky was so blue and clear. at night, twinkling stars dotted the sky. the verdant leaves and their fragrance impressed me so much that i still have a clear picture of them in my mind even today.
But now i can hardly hear a bird sing, the fragrance can only be found in the depths of my memory, and stars have hidden themselves behind gray buildings and even the sky is gray. i dont know when things began to change. but what i do know is that pollution and waste disposal have presented serious challenges to our society. environmental pollution is just like pandoras bo, and we are the victims.
We must do something to change this terrible condition. hosting the beijing olympics gives us a great opportunity to show the world it can be done. “green olympics”, one of the three basic themes of beijing olympic games, is our promise to the world that we will work towards cleaning up our environment.
Therefore every one of us should take some practical actions. you might say, “but i am just an ordinary citizen. what can i do? i have no responsibility.” but in my opinion, we can start with small things like our daily routine, such as not to litter, avoid using disposable food containers, cups and chopsticks, save every drop of water and so on. we must always remember that it is necessary for everyone to participate in order to save our planet.
Remember green is the color of life, green is the color of nature, and green is the color of the world. green will be a symbol of beijing in the near future! let us work together and keep green alive forever!
Thank you.
I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat. We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many months of struggle and suffering. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word, it is victory. Victory at all costs—victory in spite of all terrors—victory, however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival. Let that be realized, no survival for the British Empire, no survival for all that British Empire has stood for , no survival for the urge, the impulse of the ages, that mankind shall more forward toward his goal. I take up my task in buoyancy and hope. I feel sure that our cause will not be suffered to fail among men. I feel entitled at this juncture, at this time, to claim the aid of all and to say, “Come then, let us go forward together with our united strength.”
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. It’s great to be here. First of all, thanks for your coming. Tonight, what I am gonna talk about is innovation. Who can tell me what is innovation? We all know that, since 1978, China has been through the greatest changes brought by the reform and opening-up. So what we can see from the reform and opening-up? The power of innovation. That’s why I am here. I am here to show you my Chinese dream.
I want to talk about the future and how we're going to win it. If we want to make innovation. But firstly, we should make sure that China is a place where we can make it if we try, where we can go as far as hard work and big dreams will take us. We understand that it’s not going to be a cakewalk, this competition for the future, which means all of us are going to have to do our best. We are going to have to win the future by being smarter and working harder and working together. Innovation is the spirit of our country, the motive force for our country’s prosperity.
In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, People in the college are facing more and more pressure which is mainly from study, employment and different kinds of competition. As is known to us all ,our life does need some appropriate amount of pressure . It adds flavor, challenge ,and opportunity to our life. But a major challenge in today's stress-filled world is to make the stress in our life work for us instead of against us.
As for as I am concerned ,my biggest pressure is the job hunting. Nowadays, the growth of the students' number has surpassed that of the need of the society. I often suffer from the stress and feel anxious. I usually afraid that I will not get a good job after graduating from my college.I sometimes get tired of this fast pace of life, too.
To reduce my pressure, I often try some physical activities which can relieve my anxiety. In addition, I sometimes enjoy listening to music and singing loudly follow the songs. Now, I become very confident in my future, and I do believe I can get an ideal job after my graduation.
For interpersonal relationships, I gradually summed up one of the most in line with the principle of my nature, that is, mutual respect and affinity. I believe that all good friendship is formed naturally and not deliberately obtained. I also think that no matter how good of friends should have a distance, the friendship is too often crowded empty.
Get along with others, especially if you are relaxed, in a relaxed and feel of the real lessons learned, I bet you, you must have encountered the same, even if you are engaged in different occupations.
Philosophers, poets, musicians, artists have their own jargon. Sometimes, the different meaning of the same jargon said. Sometimes, speaking with a different meaning of jargon.
but can not climb the hills, the gap between the soul of it is insurmountable. Peer jargon we say, spit out the voice of a friend.
Among the most profound distinction is not professional, and in the soul.
Friendship is a kind of human relations. It is a human instinct to make friends. When in trouble, we need friends to offer us help, support and encouragement. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys.
Friendship is also one of the greatest pleasures that we can enjoy. It implies loyalty, cordiality, sympathy, affection, and readiness to help. No man can make the most of his life without carefully and conscientiously striving to win the right kind of friends as he goes along.
Knowing how valuable friendship is, we should be very careful in making friends. Real friends are those who have good character, superior ability and kindness of heart. Real friends can share all our sorrows and double all our joys. While making friends, we should take care to select those who have such fine qualities. Then we should treat our friends with courtesy, be careful not to interfere unreasonably with them, and not to ridicule their proceedings. We should forgive their failures and do our best to help them. In short, when we have established friendship, we ought to cherish and treasure it by means of words and deeds. Only thus, can we develop real friendship and keep the sacred lamp of friendship burning all our life.
Hello, everybody !it is my great honor to be here to share my idea with you.Today,I will talk something about DREAM——A word that has changed the world.
“What do you think is the word that has really changed our world ”
When I was asked about this question for the first time ,without thinkingit too much ,a word flash into my mind ——DREAM ,D-R-E-A-M.People more or lessdream about different things ,to be a teacher ,a doctor ,a scientist ,abusinessman and so on .All these people who have dreams should be respected, because Dreams make the world go around .We grow great by our dreams. All bigmen are great dreamers in their youth.Everyone has a dream ,and everythingstarts as one’s daydream.
Martin Luther king had a dream. He desired for a future where blacks andwhites would coexist harmoniously as equals.By speaking the way he did, heeducated,he inspired,he informed not just the people there, but people throughoutAmerica and unborn generations. He pushed forward the pace of American blacksociety towards the racial equality .
Thomas Edison had a dream. He dreamed of a lamp that could be operated byelectricity, began where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite morethan ten thousand failures,he stood by that dream until he made it a physicalreality! And today, his dream lights up the world at night.
Walt Disney had a dream. This,in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was alwaysdreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building anamusement park that parents could enjoy right along with their kids.Walt Disneyempowered his dream and today,Disneyland,Disney world and Disney theme parksattract around the world thrill millions of visitors each and every year.
John F.kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and returnhim safely to earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life.JohnF.kennedy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on theface of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans new foundconfidence.
Dream --- A word that has changed the world Yes ,I would say so ,wouldn’tyou
Youth is a special life relay station ,the growth with the worry ,the lifefeeling become aware happily with the dream ,collected a unique youth melody inhere .
We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose,so are our lives formed.Inthe end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most importantly,You are the one you choose to be.
It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,our minutes .It is easy to existthan living .So hold fast to your dreams,For if dreams die, life is abroken-winged bird,That cannot fly.Hold fast to your dreams,For when dreamsgo, life is a barren field,Frozen with snow.

good evening,ladies and gentlemen,
today,my topic is about expressing the appreciation to our mothers.
a few days ago,i have read a news about a mother who walked 18 days back home after a visit to her son who works in the city.the mother did this just because she wanted to save 100 yuan for
him.during the jurney, she had to beg for meals and ask people to take her in in the night.sometimes, unfortunately, she got nothing and had to sleep in caves with starvation.18 days later, when the police found her,she was exhausted and weak.the mother is already 52 years
old, what`s her motivation for doing thisi think everybody knows the answer, yes,it`s the selfless love for her son.
we always say that mother love is the greatest love in the world,as we are growing,we enjoy the delicious food she cooked,we enjoy the clean clothes she washed,we get used to the privilege she gave us. then, gradually,we just take it for granted and begin to find her nagging.we tend to pay less attention to her and sometimes even ignore her.ladies and gentlemen, can you remember what did you do to show your mother your love on her birthdaysi am pretty sure that the younger you were, the more attention you would pay.even though, your mother still love you the same.
on mother`s day,i received a message from one of my best
friends, she said:i am appreciated to your mother for giving birth to you 20 years ago, because it gave me the chance to become your friend.i was moved by these words and can`t help thinking: what a mother isshe is the one who will walk for 18 days just to save 100
yuan for you.she is the one who will keep loving you and expect no return.she is the one who has already sacrificed a lot for you and is ready to sacrifice more.whybecause she got the name mother immediately after you were born.
so,ladies and gentlemen, please be greatful to our mothers, and please cherish the miracle our mothers have made since the
day we came to this world.
thank you very much !
What I'd like to do today is talk about one of my favorite subjects, and that is the neuroscience of sleep.
Now, there is a sound -- (Alarm clock) -- aah, it worked -- a sound that is desperately, desperately familiar to most of us, and of course it's the sound of the alarm clock. And what that truly ghastly, awful sound does is stop the single most important behavioral experience that we have, and that's sleep. If you're an average sort of person, 36 percent of your life will be spent asleep, which means that if you live to 90, then 32 years will have been spent entirely asleep.
Now what that 32 years is telling us is that sleep at some level is important. And yet, for most of us, we don't give sleep a second thought. We throw it away. We really just don't think about sleep. And so what I'd like to do today is change your views, change your ideas and your thoughts about sleep. And the journey that I want to take you on, we need to start by going back in time.
"Enjoy the honey-heavy dew of slumber." Any ideas who said that? Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Yes, let me give you a few more quotes. "O sleep, O gentle sleep, nature's soft nurse, how have I frighted thee?" Shakespeare again, from -- I won't say it -- the Scottish play. [Correction: Henry IV, Part 2] (Laughter) From the same time: "Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together." Extremely prophetic, by Thomas Dekker, another Elizabethan dramatist.
But if we jump forward 400 years, the tone about sleep changes somewhat. This is from Thomas Edison, from the beginning of the 20th century. "Sleep is a criminal waste of time and a heritage from our cave days." Bang. (Laughter) And if we also jump into the 1980s, some of you may remember that Margaret Thatcher was reported to have said, "Sleep is for wimps." And of course the infamous -- what was his name? -- the infamous Gordon Gekko from "Wall Street" said, "Money never sleeps."
What do we do in the 20th century about sleep? Well, of course, we use Thomas Edison's light bulb to invade the night, and we occupied the dark, and in the process of this occupation, we've treated sleep as an illness, almost. We've treated it as an enemy. At most now, I suppose, we tolerate the need for sleep, and at worst perhaps many of us think of sleep as an illness that needs some sort of a cure. And our ignorance about sleep is really quite profound.
Why is it? Why do we abandon sleep in our thoughts? Well, it's because you don't do anything much while you're asleep, it seems. You don't eat. You don't drink. And you don't have sex. Well, most of us anyway. And so therefore it's -- Sorry. It's a complete waste of time, right? Wrong. Actually, sleep is an incredibly important part of our biology, and neuroscientists are beginning to explain why it's so very important. So let's move to the brain.
Now, here we have a brain. This is donated by a social scientist, and they said they didn't know what it was, or indeed how to use it, so -- (Laughter) Sorry. So I borrowed it. I don't think they noticed. Okay. (Laughter)
The point I'm trying to make is that when you're asleep, this thing doesn't shut down. In fact, some areas of the brain are actually more active during the sleep state than during the wake state. The other thing that's really important about sleep is that it doesn't arise from a single structure within the brain, but is to some extent a network property, and if we flip the brain on its back -- I love this little bit of spinal cord here -- this bit here is the hypothalamus, and right under there is a whole raft of interesting structures, not least the biological clock. The biological clock tells us when it's good to be up, when it's good to be asleep, and what that structure does is interact with a whole raft of other areas within the hypothalamus, the lateral hypothalamus, the ventrolateral preoptic nuclei. All of those combine, and they send projections down to the brain stem here. The brain stem then projects forward and bathes the cortex, this wonderfully wrinkly bit over here, with neurotransmitters that keep us awake and essentially provide us with our consciousness. So sleep arises from a whole raft of different interactions within the brain, and essentially, sleep is turned on and off as a result of a range of
Okay. So where have we got to? We've said that sleep is complicated and it takes 32 years of our life. But what I haven't explained is what sleep is about. So why do we sleep? And it won't surprise any of you that, of course, the scientists, we don't have a consensus. There are dozens of different ideas about why we sleep, and I'm going to outline three of those.
The first is sort of the restoration idea, and it's somewhat intuitive. Essentially, all the stuff we've burned up during the day, we restore, we replace, we rebuild during the night. And indeed, as an explanation, it goes back to Aristotle, so that's, what, 2,300 years ago. It's gone in and out of fashion. It's fashionable at the moment because what's been shown is that within the brain, a whole raft of genes have been shown to be turned on only during sleep, and those genes are associated with restoration and metabolic pathways. So there's good evidence for the whole restoration hypothesis.
What about energy conservation? Again, perhaps intuitive. You essentially sleep to save calories. Now, when you do the sums, though, it doesn't really pan out. If you compare an individual who has slept at night, or stayed awake and hasn't moved very much, the energy saving of sleeping is about 110 calories a night. Now, that's the equivalent of a hot dog bun. Now, I would say that a hot dog bun is kind of a meager return for such a complicated and demanding behavior as sleep. So I'm less convinced by the energy conservation idea.
But the third idea I'm quite attracted to, which is brain processing and memory consolidation. What we know is that, if after you've tried to learn a task, and you sleep-deprive individuals, the ability to learn that task is smashed. It's really hugely attenuated. So sleep and memory consolidation is also very important. However, it's not just the laying down of memory and recalling it. What's turned out to be really exciting is that our ability to come up with novel solutions to complex problems is hugely enhanced by a night of sleep. In fact, it's been estimated to give us a threefold advantage. Sleeping at night enhances our creativity. And what seems to be going on is that, in the brain, those neural connections that are important, those synaptic connections that are important, are linked and strengthened, while those that are less important tend to fade away and be less important.
Okay. So we've had three explanations for why we might sleep, and I think the important thing to realize is that the details will vary, and it's probable we sleep for multiple different reasons. But sleep is not an indulgence. It's not some sort of thing that we can take on board rather casually. I think that sleep was once likened to an upgrade from economy to business class, you know, the equiavlent of. It's not even an upgrade from economy to first class. The critical thing to realize is that if you don't sleep, you don't fly. Essentially, you never get there, and what's extraordinary about much of our society these days is that we are desperately sleep-deprived.
So let's now look at sleep deprivation. Huge sectors of society are sleep-deprived, and let's look at our sleep-o-meter. So in the 1950s, good data suggests that most of us were getting around about eight hours of sleep a night. Nowadays, we sleep one and a half to two hours less every night, so we're in the six-and-a-half-hours-every-night league. For teenagers, it's worse, much worse. They need nine hours for full brain performance, and many of them, on a school night, are only getting five hours of sleep. It's simply not enough. If we think about other sectors of society, the aged, if you are aged, then your ability to sleep in a single block is somewhat disrupted, and many sleep, again, less than five hours a night. Shift work. Shift work is extraordinary, perhaps 20 percent of the working population, and the body clock does not shift to the demands of working at night. It's locked onto the same light-dark cycle as the rest of us. So when the poor old shift worker is going home to try and sleep during the day, desperately tired, the body clock is saying, "Wake up. This is the time to be awake." So the quality of sleep that you get as a night shift worker is usually very poor, again in that sort of five-hour region. And then, of course, tens of millions of people suffer from jet lag. So who here has jet lag? Well, my goodness gracious. Well, thank you very much indeed for not falling asleep, because that's what your brain is craving.
One of the things that the brain does is indulge in micro-sleeps, this involuntary falling asleep, and you have essentially no control over it. Now, micro-sleeps can be sort of somewhat embarrassing, but they can also be deadly. It's been estimated that 31 percent of drivers will fall asleep at the wheel at least once in their life, and in the U.S., the statistics are pretty good: 100,000 accidents on the freeway have been associated with tiredness, loss of vigilance, and falling asleep. A hundred thousand a year. It's extraordinary. At another level of terror, we dip into the tragic accidents at Chernobyl and indeed the space shuttle Challenger, which was so tragically lost. And in the investigations that followed those disasters, poor judgment as a result of extended shift work and loss of vigilance and tiredness was attributed to a big chunk of those disasters.
So when you're tired, and you lack sleep, you have poor memory, you have poor creativity, you have increased impulsiveness, and you have overall poor judgment. But my friends, it's so much worse than that.
(Laughter)
If you are a tired brain, the brain is craving things to wake it up. So drugs, stimulants. Caffeine represents the stimulant of choice across much of the Western world. Much of the day is fueled by caffeine, and if you're a really naughty tired brain, nicotine. And of course, you're fueling the waking state with these stimulants, and then of course it gets to 11 o'clock at night, and the brain says to itself, "Ah, well actually, I need to be asleep fairly shortly. What do we do about that when I'm feeling completely wired?" Well, of course, you then resort to alcohol. Now alcohol, short-term, you know, once or twice, to use to mildly sedate you, can be very useful. It can actually ease the sleep transition. But what you must be so aware of is that alcohol doesn't provide sleep, a biological mimic for sleep. It sedates you. So it actually harms some of the neural proccessing that's going on during memory consolidation and memory recall. So it's a short-term acute measure, but for goodness sake, don't become addicted to alcohol as a way of getting to sleep every night.
Another connection between loss of sleep is weight gain. If you sleep around about five hours or less every night, then you have a 50 percent likelihood of being obese. What's the connection here? Well, sleep loss seems to give rise to the release of the hormone ghrelin, the hunger hormone. Ghrelin is released. It gets to the brain. The brain says, "I need carbohydrates," and what it does is seek out carbohydrates and particularly sugars. So there's a link between tiredness and the metabolic predisposition for weight gain.
Stress. Tired people are massively stressed. And one of the things of stress, of course, is loss of memory, which is what I sort of just then had a little lapse of. But stress is so much more. So if you're acutely stressed, not a great problem, but it's sustained stress associated with sleep loss that's the problem. So sustained stress leads to suppressed immunity, and so tired people tend to have higher rates of overall infection, and there's some very good studies showing that shift workers, for example, have higher rates of cancer. Increased levels of stress throw glucose into the circulation. Glucose becomes a dominant part of the vasculature and essentially you become glucose intolerant. Therefore, diabetes 2. Stress increases cardiovascular disease as a result of raising blood pressure. So there's a whole raft of things associated with sleep loss that are more than just a mildly impaired brain, which is where I think most people think that sleep loss resides.
So at this point in the talk, this is a nice time to think, well, do you think on the whole I'm getting enough sleep? So a quick show of hands. Who feels that they're getting enough sleep here? Oh. Well, that's pretty impressive. Good. We'll talk more about that later, about what are your tips.
So most of us, of course, ask the question, "Well, how do I know whether I'm getting enough sleep?" Well, it's not rocket science. If you need an alarm clock to get you out of bed in the morning, if you are taking a long time to get up, if you need lots of stimulants, if you're grumpy, if you're irritable, if you're told by your work colleagues that you're looking tired and irritable, chances are you are sleep-deprived. Listen to them. Listen to yourself.
What do you do? Well -- and this is slightly offensive -- sleep for dummies: Make your bedroom a haven for sleep. The first critical thing is make it as dark as you possibly can, and also make it slightly cool. Very important. Actually, reduce your amount of light exposure at least half an hour before you go to bed. Light increases levels of alertness and will delay sleep. What's the last thing that most of us do before we go to bed? We stand in a massively lit bathroom looking into the mirror cleaning our teeth. It's the worst thing we can possibly do before we went to sleep. Turn off those mobile phones. Turn off those computers. Turn off all of those things that are also going to excite the brain. Try not to drink caffeine too late in the day, ideally not after lunch. Now, we've set about reducing light exposure before you go to bed, but light exposure in the morning is very good at setting the biological clock to the light-dark cycle. So seek out morning light. Basically, listen to yourself. Wind down. Do those sorts of things that you know are going to ease you off into the honey-heavy dew of slumber.
Okay. That's some facts. What about some myths?
Teenagers are lazy. No. Poor things. They have a biological predisposition to go to bed late and get up late, so give them a break.
We need eight hours of sleep a night. That's an average. Some people need more. Some people need less. And what you need to do is listen to your body. Do you need that much or do you need more? Simple as that.
Old people need less sleep. Not true. The sleep demands of the aged do not go down. Essentially, sleep fragments and becomes less robust, but sleep requirements do not go down.
And the fourth myth is, early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Well that's wrong at so many different levels. (Laughter) There is no, no evidence that getting up early and going to bed early gives you more wealth at all. There's no difference in socioeconomic status. In my experience, the only difference between morning people and evening people is that those people that get up in the morning early are just horribly smug.
(Laughter) (Applause)
Okay. So for the last part, the last few minutes, what I want to do is change gears and talk about some really new, breaking areas of neuroscience, which is the association between mental health, mental illness and sleep disruption. We've known for 130 years that in severe mental illness, there is always, always sleep disruption, but it's been largely ignored. In the 1970s, when people started to think about this again, they said, "Yes, well, of course you have sleep disruption in schizophrenia because they're on anti-psychotics. It's the anti-psychotics causing the sleep problems," ignoring the fact that for a hundred years previously, sleep disruption had been reported before anti-psychotics.
So what's going on? Lots of groups, several groups are studying conditions like depression, schizophrenia and bipolar, and what's going on in terms of sleep disruption. We have a big study which we published last year on schizophrenia, and the data were quite extraordinary. In those individuals with schizophrenia, much of the time, they were awake during the night phase and then they were asleep during the day. Other groups showed no 24-hour patterns whatsoever. Their sleep was absolutely smashed. And some had no ability to regulate their sleep by the light-dark cycle. They were getting up later and later and later and later each night. It was smashed.
So what's going on? And the really exciting news is that mental illness and sleep are not simply associated but they are physically linked within the brain. The neural networks that predispose you to normal sleep, give you normal sleep, and those that give you normal mental health are overlapping. And what's the evidence for that? Well, genes that have been shown to be very important in the generation of normal sleep, when mutated, when changed, also predispose individuals to mental health problems. And last year, we published a study which showed that a gene that's been linked to schizophrenia, which, when mutated, also smashes the sleep. So we have evidence of a genuine mechanistic overlap between these two important systems.
Other work flowed from these studies. The first was that sleep disruption actually precedes certain types of mental illness, and we've shown that in those young individuals who are at high risk of developing bipolar disorder, they already have a sleep abnormality prior to any clinical diagnosis of bipolar. The other bit of data was that sleep disruption may actually exacerbate, make worse the mental illness state. My colleague Dan Freeman has used a range of agents which have stabilized sleep and reduced levels of paranoia in those individuals by 50 percent.
So what have we got? We've got, in these connections, some really exciting things. In terms of the neuroscience, by understanding the neuroscience of these two systems, we're really beginning to understand how both sleep and mental illness are generated and regulated within the brain. The second area is that if we can use sleep and sleep disruption as an early warning signal, then we have the chance of going in. If we know that these individuals are vulnerable, early intervention then becomes possible. And the third, which I think is the most exciting, is that we can think of the sleep centers within the brain as a new therapeutic target. Stabilize sleep in those individuals who are vulnerable, we can certainly make them healthier, but also alleviate some of the appalling symptoms of mental illness.
So let me just finish. What I started by saying is take sleep seriously. Our attitudes toward sleep are so very different from a pre-industrial age, when we were almost wrapped in a duvet. We used to understand intuitively the importance of sleep. And this isn't some sort of crystal-waving nonsense. This is a pragmatic response to good health. If you have good sleep, it increases your concentration, attention, decision-making, creativity, social skills, health. If you get sleep, it reduces your mood changes, your stress, your levels of anger, your impulsivity, and your tendency to drink and take drugs. And we finished by saying that an understanding of the neuroscience of sleep is really informing the way we think about some of the causes of mental illness, and indeed is providing us new ways to treat these incredibly debilitating conditions.
Jim Butcher, the fantasy writer, said, "Sleep is God. Go worship." And I can only recommend that you do the same.
Thank you for your attention.

Dear teachers and students
How do you do! The theme of my speech today is "learning for yourself".
We often hear the saying, "it's never too old to learn." Learning is a lifelong thing, especially for our students, our task is to learn.
Perhaps some students are silently thinking about learning. Alas, what I fear most all day is learning. Learning is very boring and boring. It is a painful thing, let alone happy. But if we study hard and carefully, learning is also happy for us. We should not regard learning as an errand and should not perfunctory it. Only those who want to learn will learn real knowledge and truly realize its happiness.
Students, think about who you study for. Not for teachers, not for family, but for yourself. Think about what we can achieve if we don't study hard.
Let's study hard from now on and build a better future. Study hard and seize the day! Students, let's cheer together!
Thank you. My speech is over.
Beggars are one of the most familiar groups in every city. They accompany us from our childhood until now, and I've found both the beggars and I change in this journey.
Years ago as a little girl, when I came across some old and disabled beggars on the road, I'd donate some pocket money to them, happily thinking I was helping.
s I have grown older, I've found the number of beggars has grown larger and they are more diverse. They appear in every corner of the city, on the overbridge, on the street, near restaurants, and even at your door. In contrast with the old days, it seems like the situation with beggars today is more complicated, which has made me hesitate before deciding whether to help them or not.
It's hard for me to give them money considering some who appear beggars in day time but dress up and go to fancy restaurants at night; and some who are controlled by some illegal organization and the money they get all goes to the organization. If I help them, I'd be making the problem worse, I'd be doing harm to the society, indirectly. But it's also hard not to give them money, considering there're real beggars who really need help. If I don't help them, who will? And where is my sympathy?
What hurts me the most is not how hard it is to distinguish the real help-seekers from the many false ones, but that some children are forced by adults, sometimes even their parents, to beg. They grow up despised by the world, out of mainstream society. When I see their eyes filled with desperation and impudence instead of purity and innocence, my heart sinks. We don't know how they will face the world when they grow up, how this will shape their characters, and what they may do to the society, to perpetuate this cycle of violence.
Months ago the Fu Jian government has promulgated a new policy to deal with 8 kinds of beggars. An internet survey shows that over 80% of voters reacted positively toward the policy. We know that one single policy cannot solve a problem as complex as this one, but we do look forward to some improvement. I wish all humanity can live like human.
Dear teachers and mates:
We are in a constant state of trying to get something better and different. We are often trying to be someone different, even when the current us is pretty decent. If you are not happy being you, then who else can you be? In each person's life, will meet a lot of individual who will impacted themselves. Some people teach you a lot of things. Some may give you a lot of encouragement As for me there are also some people inspired me.But the most great impact was my dear father.
When I was a little girl,I often want to give up study instead play games. Then my father will told me "Perseverance is the golden key to being successful in anything you do.It's a matter of hanging on long afte others have quit".When I was a teenager I like to make track for a star, and like images like, including dress etc. Then my Dad always tell me that"Be what you are, not what you aren't,because when you are what you aren't,then you aren't what you are".All of the things are inspired me so much.
Sometimes,I think my father was a philosopher, sometimes think he is a activists, always set an example for his child ,do what a father should do.He is always working hard to feed large family, he is always considerate to forgive his naughty children, moreover he filial piety to the old person,to repay parents' brought up. In a word, he always so good.
Of course he's not a iron man,he also has a fragile, but he never lose self, and perseverance. What's more, when I meet with some troubles and want to give up, he always encourage me.I still remember what he told me "perseverance overcomes almost everything. When you fall, perseverance tells you get up.When you are defeated, perseverance tells you to try again .When you feel like quitting, perseverance doesn't let you".
Nowadays, I am an adults, and as a college student,I always unavoidably depending on my father, I often call to my father to ask some questions, meanwhile I also want to know how are they recently I start my college life followed with my fathers edification.Because of my dear father,I know how important to be myself.I have to be true to myself, because the only important thing in life is what you do with the time on spend here in earth. So I'll always be optimistic and happy in the following time. Also,as my father told me,just be perseverance to do everything. So that I can do anything I wish to create my future!
Father is like a lighthouse, guide me in the direction of the future.I hope I could owning a wonderful future, and my father will company with me forever!thanks!
i'm talking about your coworkers and your spouses and your children and the person sitting next to you right now -- all of them subject to this bias that is pretty deep and real in our society. we all internalize it from a very early age without even having a language for what we're doing.
now to see the bias clearly you need to understand what introversion is. it's different from being shy. shyness is about fear of social judgment. introversion is more about, how do you respond to stimulation, including social stimulation. so extroverts really crave large amounts of stimulation, whereas introverts feel at their most alive and their most switched-on and their most capable when they're in quieter, more low-key environments. not all the time -- these things aren't absolute -- but a lot of the time. so the key then to maximizing our talents is for us all to put ourselves in the zone of stimulation that is right for us.
beloved teacher, dear students:
you are good, the topic of my speech today is: and civilization peers, creating a harmonious campus.
civilization is always the traditional virtues of the chinese nation be handed down from age to age, as a new era of successors, we must inherit the tradition, advocate of civilization, courtesy, establishing new practice.
china is a big country with a long history of ancient civilization, the chinese nation has always been a refined and cultured, do boldly what is righteous, humility comity and civilized state. china children's behavior, one's voice and expression does not reflect a person's temperament and accomplishment. xun ziyun: no good manners not to legislate, people are not rude health, things are not rude, orders are not rude ning. civilized etiquette of our study is a foundation, is the healthy growth of our arms.
china educator mr. tao xingzhi had a famous saying: thousand teach million teaches truth, thousand learn ten thousand learn to be reality. that is the teacher first to educate the students to be a true man. and the students also should first learn to be, learn to do civilized people. only in this way, we can achieve the " patriotic and law-abiding, in courtesy letter, friendliness, diligence and self-improvement ".
the blue sky and white clouds, hope pigeon flying freely.
teachers and parents, we hope that the happy growth.
in this beautiful day, we went to this happy place, singing happily in the harmonious campus.
in this beautiful day, we travel in the ocean of knowledge, and teachers together to weave a dream.
What life is about
As we all know, the most important thing in life is our attitude towards it, tons of men have tried different ways of treating life, and some succeeded, some failed, and here are some of the tips they left us.
Life isn’t about keeping score. Life isn’t about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin. In fact it’s not about if you have lots of friends or if you are alone, and it’s not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isn’t about that.
But life is about whom you love and who you hurt. It’s about how you feel about yourself. It’s about trust, happiness and compassion. It’s about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It’s about what you say and what you mean. It’s about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. And we should always remember to be ourselves. Other might have things that we desire but being what we really are is the only trail leading to the true colors of life. Most of all, it’s about choosing to use your life to touch someone else’s in a way that could have never been achieved otherwise.
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; we buy more but enjoy them less. We’ve learnt how to make a living but not a life, we’ve added years to life, but not life to years. And it is time for us to choose whether to make a difference in our life.
And these choices are what life is about.
Parents love, is the light in the dark, let my heart no longer lonely.
Parents love, is a can be sprinkled in my heart drizzle, moisten my dry heart.
Parents love, is the gas station in life, let me have the courage to accept the challenge.
The old saying says: "the sheep has kneel down the milk of the grace, the crow has the sense of feeding back." Every bit of our growth is inseparable from the help of parents, water when yongquan phase reported, therefore, we should know how to Thanksgiving, know how to thank parents.
Students, let us Thanksgiving parents! With a grateful heart to treat parents, with a sincere heart and parents exchange. They are great enough to bring us into this beautiful world, and they raise us as adults, giving us nothing in return. Be grateful for what your parents have given you.
Thank you!
I have a question for you. ‘Do you know how to breathe?’ Okay, I know what you are thinking now, “Girl, are you kidding me? Everybody knows how to breathe.” Actually, if I were you sitting down in there one year ago, I would think, “How did she make it to the final?”
Alright, seriously speaking, what I am talking about is “the art of breathing”, and it’s about breathing in a Yoga way: peacefully and always under control. What it reveals is the real essence of perseverance, “In order to achieve, sometimes, you need to wait.” And when it comes to things you really want in life, it is as hard as it could possibly be.
For me, singing is a life thing. When I am singing on the stage, I feel whole-heartedly involved, and the self-fulfillment it renders is inexplicably thrilling. But with all the realistic problems I need to face in life, all those I want seem too far to be true– so far that I am terrified that I will never ever be able to get there and that gradually I will be carried away by the currents and torrents of life. I’ve been drowned into this ambivalence for so long. Now, with a refined perspective towards self-realization, I am waiting, in a graceful posture, and knowing that I am going to get there. And on this, I should say, I owe Yoga a thank-you.
I still remember, about one year ago, I attended a Yoga course for the very first time. And to tell you the truth, I went there for a nice figure. However, after practicing for some time, I discovered that there was an ineffable inner-strength burgeoning sneakily in me while I totally focused. In order not to let go this significant power, I started to picture all I wanted in my mind while I was fully concentrating, for I believe the wings of imagination could make things possible. I learned to breathe with my dreams, shaping the eagerness into this elegant gesture of persisting.
And now, if you ask me what exactly is “the art of breathing”, I would say it is indeed “the art of living”. It combines the search of balance, the grace of patience, and the awareness of appreciation.
So even though feelings are tied up with life routines, I could still hold onto that free EGO which I have always adored: the girl who is singing under the spotlight, with all her heart and soul; the girl who is persevering with all she believes in and always feels grateful for what has been bestowed on her.
That girl is now standing right here in front of you, hoping that you are all as lucky as she is, living with dreams and love. No matter how tough things get, I tell myself, I tell myself that, every single thing I am doing now is every step closer to that very moment of my trajectory, just like every Yoga breath to every blossom moment of my life.
Sports are more than competitions. To me, they mean growth under the care of others. I learned this the hard way.
I used to be very shy and often felt lonely. Although I did well in all the academic subjects, I was afraid of physical education. My classmates often laughed at me.
“Look at that girl,” they said. “Her feet don’t leave the ground when she runs!”
Their words embarrassed me. Moreover, whenever the teacher organized some competitive games, no one in the class liked to have me as their partner or team member. As a result, I often ended up looking at others enjoy their games.
Things would go on like that if not for a sports meet in my high school. By mistake, my name was put on the list of those who would compete in the women’s 1500 meters race. By the time people found the mistake, it was too late to change.
My desk-mate was a natural athlete. She said to me, “I couldn’t run that race in your place, because I’ve signed up for three items already.” Other athletic girls of the class said the same.
I was utterly dumbfounded. 1500 meters! Running against the best runners from other classes! And in front of students of the entire school! It would be the worst nightmare I’d ever have!
“You still have time to catch up because there is still one month before the sports meet,” they all said this to me, including my teacher.
My desk-mate patted me on the shoulder, “Cool! You will run for our class! And we will do training together.” Yes, this is not just for myself, but for my class too, I said to myself. But still, 1500 meters to me was like Mount Everest to a beginning climber. I had no idea even how to start my preparation.
Fortunately, my desk-mate gave me a hand. Every afternoon after class, several of us ran together. When the fear of being laughed at struck me, I saw others running right beside me. They gave me strengths. While we were running, some others would stand by the tracks cheering for us.
One month certainly couldn’t make me a good runner. But when I was standing behind the start line, I no longer felt lonely or afraid. I saw my classmates standing by the tracks waving at me as if about to run beside me.
With the shot of the starting gun, I dashed out and ran as fast as I could, as if it were a 200-meter race. Soon I was out of breath and slowed down. Other runners passed me one by one, and gradually I had no idea how many of them were still behind me. My legs were getting heavier and heavier, and I might fall down at any moment. However, I suddenly heard my classmates chanting my name. My desk-mate even ran along the tracks beside me and cheered for me at the same time, just like the month-long training we did together.
As expected, I was almost the last to cross the finish line. Immediately, my classmates held my arms and urged me to walk on my feet and not to sit down. I was surrounded, with all kinds of drinks handed to me. I felt a kind of warmth I had never felt before. Even though I was almost the last to finish the race, I was full of confidence that I would improve in the future.
That sports meet was an unforgettable experience. The memory of my classmates cheering for me, holding my arms and handing me drinks stays fresh on my mind. Sports are no longer about winning or losing. They give me a lot of confidence, both confidence in my fellow students and confidence in my own potential. I am no longer lonely, no longer afraid. Sports have brought me close to my classmates and helped us grow together.
Now, I participate in the sports meet every year. Even if I am not competing, I would help my classmates with their practice, just like the way my desk-mate and others ran with me.
