This morning we heard the talk given by our headmaster about Lei Feng.We were deeply moved by Lei Feng's deeds. We have made up our minds to do as Let Feng did.
As there were no classes this afternoon, we decided to do some good deeds for people. Some of us went to the Station Square to repair bikes for people passing by, some went to a home for orphans nearby to help carry coal and wash their clothes, and others remained at school to clean the teachers' office. We all worked very hard.
It was not until six o'clock that I returned home. Tired as I was, I was filled with joy and pride.
Climbing the Great Wall at the Weekend 。
It was weekend again, and it was sunny. My parents told me to pay a visit to the Great Wall 。 When we got to the bottom of it, we saw a crowd of people there. Boys and girls, young and old, men and women were everywhere. We were all excited and began to climb it 。 My parents asked me to be careful. We followed the steps, walking towards the top of the Great Wall 。 Wow! What a nice view! The sun was shining , the wind was blowing , and the small hills are connected to each other far way. The Great Wall lies on the earth , just like a huge long dragon.Soon we reached to the top of the Great Wall. Everything seemed to be under us. We werewild with joy and couldn’t help shouting out! That was a great weekend, we all had fun.

How to Behave Well?
In order to build a civilized city, we students should try our best to behave well in the activities.
Its a good habit to keep our clothes clean and tidy. Our city should be kept clean every day. Dont throw litter or spit about. Its good manners to say "Thank you" and "Please" and so on. We should never say dirty words. Be friendly to others and always ready to help the people in need. For example, when we are on a bus, we should give our seats to the old and the women with babies. We should also obey traffic rules. When the traffic lights are red, we should stop. And wed better not talk or laugh loudly in public.
If everyone behaves well, our city will be more beautiful and more attractive.

My favorite TV program is Animal World. It’s very interesting and exciting. There I learn a lot kinds of animals.
Some people think some animals are dangerous. They may hurt us humans. We can kill them. I can’t stand the idea. Each animal has its reason to live on the earth. They are important for the world. They keep a balance.
If somebody breaks it, we humans may not be able to live on the earth.

Less Pressure, Better Life
Hello, boys and girls!
Pressure is a serious problem in today’s world. Students in our class are under too much pressure. Some students can’t get on well with their classmates, while others may worry about their exams.
I’m always under pressure, too. My parents want me to be the top {BAIHUAWEN.com}student in class. So they send me to all kinds of after-classes at weekends. Last Monday evening, I had a talk with my mother. I told her I was not lazy. I really felt tired. I needed time to relax. My mother agreed with me at last. So I think a conversation with parents is necessary to solve the problem.
That’s all. Thank you!
Dear Kim:
I feel so happy to hear that you are interested in the Chinese spring festival, which is one mostimportant symbol of Chinese culture. With my great honor, I am here sharing my knowledgea bout it with you.
The spring festival, also called Chinese New Year, enjoys a long history of over 4,000 years. Unlike other festivals, the Spring festival is a period of time, rather than a single day. It startsfrom the first day of a new year and ends on January 15th, , of course in the Chinese lunarcalendar. But people usually start to celebrate the Spring Festival on the day before the NewYear's Day, which is called New Year's Eve, when all members of a family get together, have abig meal together(called Nian Ye Fan in Chinese) and watch the Spring Festival gala, indulged inthe especially warm and sweet atmosphere of reunion.
There are a variety of activities during the Spring festival, among which at least three deserveyour special attention. First, when the new year's first bell rings out the old year and rings inthe new, adults and children get out of the houses and light crackers and fireworks, whichdecorates the sky into a colorful and magnificent stage.
Then, on the morning of the New Year's Day, people get up very early to stick couplets, onwhich all good wished are presented. Meanwhile, the red color of the couplets adds much to thejoy of the splendid festival.
In addition, we have to visit our relatives from door to door as of the first day of the SpringFestival until the Lantern Festival, which is supposed to be a conclusion of the whole SpringFestival.
Kim, the short letter here surely fails me to give you a complete account of our Spring Festival. I sincerely hope, if possible, that you can come here in China to have a real experience aboutit.
Best wishes!
Yours,
Li Hua
